AARPÂ Virtual Community Center
AARP has created a one-stop venue for virtual events and entertainment, the AARP Virtual Community Center (VCC) as a place to locate events designed for older Americans: entertainment experiences, caregiving help, cooking and exercising classes, help with all sorts of technology issues and other topics. The AARP VCC offers a wide variety of FREE interactive online events and classes designed for learning, self-improvement, and fun. Through VCC you can hear talks from popular writers like James Patterson and Sanjay Gupta, M.D. You can get cooking lessons from well-known chefs. You can learn from experts how to spot misinformation in online news accounts, or take a yoga class. There's everything from movie screenings offered by AARP Movies for Grownups to virtual museum tours.

"AARP Virtual Community Center is designed to be like your local brick-and-mortar community center in that it offers a wide variety of interesting experiences," says Heather Nawrocki, AARP vice president of fun and fulfillment. "The only difference is that you participate in the activities and connect with others from the convenience and safety of your home."
Each day there will be about a half dozen events happening in real time.
A calendar on the site gives you each day's choices so you can plan.

OATS FROM AARP
Want to up your tech skills? Information on how to master your computer, smartphone, and other devices is now available through a new AARP program.
AARP has joined forces with the nonprofit Older Adults Technology Services to create OATS from AARP.
Through its flagship program, Senior Planet, OATS from AARP creates in-person and online experiences on topics such as: Doing a Zoom teleconference, Protecting your identity online, Finding reliable internet health resources, Getting the most out of your smart TV.
These events are featured in the AARP Virtual Community Center.
